Providence engages in many ministries throughout our community, and worldwide.  Through the United Methodist Church apportionment giving, Providence reaches out to virtually every nation on the planet in the name of, and for the sake of Jesus Christ.  In addition to the giving through the apportionments, Providence engages in fund raisers, community events, and local ministries that provide critical help for the needy right here in the South Georgia area.

Taking part in ministry is both fun and rewarding.  Just six miles west of Providence, in the 3rd week of May, the Morven Peach Festival is held.  Each year Providence has a booth selling peach tarts and ice cream (our house specialty).  Take a look at these folks having more fun than they can stand!!!

Here you will find a few photos from a youth trip to Providence Canyon in Georgia.  These youth were led by some of Providence's best and faithful, and will remember this experience for years to come.

	Providence also supports a young man residing at Vashti in Thomasville, GA.  This ministry helps to allow this young man receive necessities of life, and even gifts for Christmas and his birthday.  We are proud to be a part of this young man's life.
	We are very proud to be the local founding Church for Chapter #199 of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers which is also an outreach Ministry of our church in which the Founding Chairman Lt. William McArthur of the Valdosta Police Department and others are taking the good news of Jesus Christ as Lord to Savior to the Law Enforcement Community. This organization also sponsors kids of all races and denominations to summer bible camps, Sponsors and coaches youth basketball teams for at risk youths and provides Christmas baskets to Senior Citizens and others who otherwise would not receive anything at Christmas.
	Providence is also a proud supporter of Camp Tygart in Ray City, GA.  This campground is the battle field on which the youth of today might come together and find the power of Christ, to hold up against today's pressures of the world.  It is also ground zero for the South Georgia Emmaus events, reaching men and women for Christ throughout the south Georgia area.
