Pastor Ray Yody Welcomes You!
We love the Lord Jesus Christ and extend a warm WELCOME to each one
of you. If you do not presently have a church home, we invite you to
come and
fellowship with us here at the Providence United Methodist Church. We
have a full range of activities for fellowship, service and spiritual
growth. We are
a Church for the whole family where we preach Jesus Christ, and Him
crucified, resurrected, glorified, and coming again! The main reason
that we
would love for you to visit is so that you can experience God -
experience His divine presence. God is the reason why we exist as a
Church.
Our desire as a Christian Church is to promote the Gospel of Jesus
Christ
and to meet both the practical and spiritual needs of our community.
We are ministering in the area of evangelism and are a training ground
for
Christians to increase their knowledge of God's Word, and His will for
their lives.
It is God's will, as found in First Timothy 2:3-4, that all people be
saved
and come to the knowledge of the truth. People are sinful by nature,
and
sin separates them from God. But God loved this world so much that He
sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our
sins, that we might receive forgiveness and the promise of eternal life
[ John 3:16].
To receive this love and experience peace with God and yourself, simply
trust Jesus and pray this special prayer: Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank
You
for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and
receive
You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving
me
eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life, and make me the
kind of
person You want me to be. Amen.
